A home away from home..
Every place has a different vibe to it, some make you feel at home, whereas some places scare the shit out of you...some are warm and cozy, some vibrant and lively.
With coroni macaroni easing out and the campus being open for the vaccinated, I and my clan decided to start hunting for houses.....after scavenging for a month ..we landed across a good one...it was spacious, well maintained, had all the amenities we would require and just felt nice.
Fast-forward to November 25, I was all set, with most of the stuff packed, a checklist ready, and mentally preparing myself about living away from Sammy and home. When I look back, not once did I feel any kind of fear evoking in my mind, over the fact of me living in a new place...
Next, it was 28th, the D-Day, we left home quite early escaping the traffic, and headed to Pune....by noon we were at the new place...shifting and unpacking ... The excitement of new beginnings had all hyped me up. I was looking forward to spending an amazing time with friends and re-living the campus life after two years..
By a week my schedule got set, I use to wake up at 6 am (my dad still doesn't believe this as it never happened back at home) then I use to have my morning routine, work out, go for a short walk, pick up milk pouches on my way back to the flat...
Then I use to spend some time on the east-facing terrace, overlooking the trees and mountains around, there were crows and parrots and pigeons and sparrows all above ... Indeed a lively world around me. On the roads were joggers, office goers, walkers with their pets, occasional vendors setting up their stalls, passer-bys offering their prayers to Hanuman who stood right at the edge of the juncture as you stood there living it all.
On days when it was freezing cold outside, I would make a cup of Bournvita Milk, pour it in my Spiderman cup and settle down on the azure blue sofa. This sofa was our hangout destination... breakfast, lunch, dinner, movie nights, attending online lectures, laughing our hearts out, casual chilling all happened right here.
Many moments like these have been lived at this very place. To the first ever rented flat of my life, To a place that made us feel like home, and to my pretty roomies, my favorite beings, I am soo happy to have experienced it all!!
