The Sky is there for me !

When you say something is close to you, how close to you is that thing, is it like a meter close, is it a little or a lot closer than that, is it super close to your heart or is it still light years apart...Can we really measure things close to us, well the actual question is do we really know who all are close to us and why do we value such a proximity?

-------------------------------

The Sky is defined as the region of our atmosphere and outer space seen from the earth. It's a space mathematically uncountable, well not infinity but quite infinite...and this Sky is someone very close to me....

Whenever I visit any foreign land, it takes time to get familiar with the surroundings...it's an unknown land all around, but the sky is always there for me :)

When at a new place, everything is different: the soil a bit redder, air thinner, water a little sweeter, brighter flowers, smells are all unique and people ... haha! let's not get down that path.. but out of all this, the sky remains the same!

The clouds might have changed shapes, their color might have got vibrant with time and seasons but they never treat me as a stranger.

If am feeling delusioned, I simply look up at the sky and find my way, how you ask....well at times the bird flying up above tells me to take a look at the bigger picture of the situation am stuck in, at other times my dear homies- the clouds of different shapes and size ask me to be open, stay flexible, unbiased and have a wide outlook, the stars that twinkle up above remind me of all the beautiful times, of milestones, and precious lively moments waiting for me, the moon tells me to take a deep breath and blink into a better state of mind...and on it goes

I have always been scared of deep seas, even the land roars at times.. but the sky keeps me intrigued. With its greatness and limitless  physique, it makes me humble.

In this illusioned world, we need a few constants to keep a tap on reality...these constants can be humans around you, any particular place, or an object that's very dear to you, or your favourite song, maybe a book or a happy picture, it can be pretty much anything that keeps us anchored.... Ironically, this anchorless sky is my life's constant ...

Sometimes when I look up-above I seek hope, ideas and answers...and sometimes I simply see the reflection of my mind and it's deepest memories, I see people whom I will never see again in this life...At times when I glance up, the world snaps shut, I am in the absolute present ..the strolling clouds keep a tap of time...rest it's a kaleidoscopic world up here.

The sky is a dear friend of mine, a cosy little place, although not found on the world map but it accompanies me wherever I go. Whenever I feel alone, I look up at the sky, a warm smile gazes back at me and am all good to go, stride back into the human world!
